Heartland of Israel

Nati Rom is a native-born Israeli who felt a deep call to the defense and redemption of Israel’s Heartland early in life. Upon completing his active duty service in the IDF, Nati and a few friends put a stake in the ground on a beautiful Samarian hilltop near Shilo, pioneering the first of many hilltop villages. From that time, Nati has never looked back; like a modern-day Maccabee, he forges through countless obstacles as he works to defend Jewish pioneers who are fulfilling ancient prophecies in their God-given land.

As an attorney, Nati has defended hundreds of pioneers in court who have been arrested for exercising their rights on the Temple Mount as well as in Judea and Samaria. He also represents people who are negatively impacted by the Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS) movement and other anti-Semitic efforts. He fervently pursues justice on many fronts and does not shy away from legal battles, regardless of how arduous and daunting they appear. From Kenya to the U.S. to Norway and many points in between, Nati speaks to thousands of people every year about life in Judea and Samaria in order to establish and strengthen connections between pioneers and their international supporters. Using videos, pictures, and lively stories, he educates anyone who will listen about: on going human rights violations and terrorism, declarations in the Torah regarding the Land, active Zionism, and grass roots movements combating the injustices.

Audiences continually communicate amazement as they learn the false nature of the narratives they have heard from various media sources. Besides group presentations, Nati frequently meets with individual leaders from all walks of life – Jewish, non-Jewish, religious, and non-religious – to convey the truths of life in Judea and Samaria. Yonat Rom was due to deliver her first child when her husband, Ami Meshulami, was killed in military action in Lebanon.

Ami was granted a medal of honor for his valiant acts the day that he died and that Yonat became the youngest IDF widow. One of 17 children, Ami and his family had seen their home destroyed as they were expelled from Gush Katif one year before he was killed. A year-and-a-half after Yonat gave birth to her daughter, Nati and Yonat were married. In 2012, Nati and Yonat founded Lev HaOlam, an organization that supports Jewish business owners in Judea and Samaria who are suffering because of the BDS movement. Lev HaOlam is a subscription service that sends packages full of beautiful, high-quality products from the Jewish Heartland to thousands of people around the world every month. The benefits reaped by Lev HaOlam are multi-faceted.

Jewish producers gain income that offsets the impact of BDS efforts, a deep connection is established between package recipients and Israel, and a resounding message is sent that countless people support Jewish pioneers in Judea and Samaria. Nati, Yonat, and their six children live in Esh Kodesh near Shilo, the first capital of ancient Israel. They are deeply honored and grateful to Hashem for their family and the special mission He has given them as they witness prophecy being fulfilled. Together, they work tirelessly to transform calls for “BDS” into BUY, DEFEND, SUPPORT as they take an active role in redeeming the Biblical Heartland of Israel.
